Day 38: Fly to Porto

Not a lot to report today. We woke up at 5:30AM to catch a flight. We flew from Monastir to Lyon, France, and then from Lyon to Porto. Everything was hectic and the second flight was delayed a couple of hours. We were in transit for 12 hours. But we arrived.

Nick sat with Millie on the flight and every time I looked over they were in the same exact position.

I’m still not feeling great and getting very bored of being the weakest link in our trio.

Upon arriving in Porto we caught up with our old friends from Austin, James and Sarah. They moved here a few years ago and it’s been fun learning about their new life in Portugal. We went with their daughter to the local park and played on some equipment. Then we picked up dinner.

After Millie was asleep, Nick and I snuck out to have a beer at a nearby and very vibe-y bar. This was the first time we’ve been alone on this trip. We talked about what’s been working and what needs to change on the trip. Step one: don’t go another 5 weeks before being able to go out together again.
